DHA Phase 2 Extension Islamabad Balloting

DHA Phase 2 Extension is the expansion of DHA Phase II Islamabad beyond the original sectors A–J. Balloting assigns specific plot numbers to file holders through a computerized random draw conducted by DHA Islamabad-Rawalpindi. This page explains the balloting process, how to check results, and what to do next.

File purchase

Buyers purchase a plot file (5 Marla, 10 Marla, or 1 Kanal) from DHA directly or through an authorized dealer. The file represents ownership of a plot that has not yet been assigned a specific location.

Computerized balloting

DHA conducts a computerized ballot to randomly assign plot numbers to file holders. Each file is matched with a specific sector, block, street, and plot number. Results are published on the official DHAI-R website.

Dues & development charges

After balloting, DHA issues a payment schedule for remaining dues and development charges. These must be paid on time to maintain good standing and avoid surcharges.

Possession & construction

Once development in your sector is complete and all dues are cleared, DHA issues a possession letter. After possession, you can apply for construction approval through the DHA Building Control department.

Extension Balloting FAQs

What is DHA Phase 2 Extension Islamabad balloting?

Balloting is the official process through which DHA allocates specific plot numbers to file holders. Each file holder receives a randomly assigned plot number, sector, and street through a computerized draw. Once balloted, the file converts into a plot with a defined physical location.

How do I check my DHA Phase 2 Extension ballot result?

Visit the official DHA Islamabad-Rawalpindi website at dhai-r.com.pk and look for the ballot results section. You can also call the UAN at +92-51-111-555-400 or visit the DHA Phase II Sub Office in Sector A with your file number and CNIC.

What happens after balloting?

After balloting, file holders receive a plot number and location. Development charges and remaining dues must be paid as per the DHA payment schedule. Once dues are cleared, DHA issues a possession letter and allows construction after development is complete.

Can I sell my plot after balloting?

Yes. Once balloted, you can transfer your plot through the official DHA transfer process. Both buyer and seller must visit the DHA office with required documents (CNIC, original file, NOC, paid dues receipts). DHA charges a transfer fee.

Has the DHA Phase 2 Extension balloting happened?

DHA conducts balloting in phases as development progresses. Some sectors and categories have been balloted while others may still be pending. Always verify the current status with the official DHA office or website, as timelines can change.

What is the difference between DHA Phase 2 and Phase 2 Extension?

DHA Phase 2 refers to the original fully developed sectors (A through J). The Phase 2 Extension is the newer expansion beyond these sectors, with additional plots and sectors still under various stages of development and balloting.

What should I verify before buying a Phase 2 Extension file?

Verify the file number with DHA, confirm all dues are paid, check the ballot status, verify ownership through CNIC records at the DHA office, and ensure no encumbrances or disputes exist. Never rely on dealer claims alone.
